Question about Mits HS-U795 and 2 sets of audio outs.
New technology looks for a signal, decides "oops no signal there", and displays a default bright blue color. Said "new technology" is the actual tuner system itself. A television has this part, as does a VCR, as does a TV tuner card for a computer. The modern variants of all of these devices tend to produce bright

The item was a Sony VTX-1000, the tuner part of the 'Profeel' line. It was about 10 years old when it failed. I bought the exact mosfet from Sony and replaced it. Worked fine. It runs on an original XT, and may need slowing down on more modern machines. it works just fine, but the problem is that I've to use an TV or Video to get the video-signal to my teletext-decoder. Now I'd like to expand my card with a tuner, preferably an I2C-bus controlled tuner and I was wondering if there were

In essence you are getting a perfect copy of the (albeit imperfect) satellite signal. I'm content for the present sticking with my Replay boxes and recording truly important things to my Mini-DV deck but I'd welcome a Replay TV box with a Direct TV tuner in it that could record the signal without the additional

Newbie: Help with Component Connections
I wouldn't worry too much about the .18 rather than .25 on the end of the channels you're showing; it's probably that the TV tuner operates in these kind of increments when Reason for the question is that it would help give an idea of roughly how much signal you're getting - not 100% accurate but pretty good.

Digital TV tuner from Aldi
The cable tv descrambler box uses data from the cable tv scrambler in the headend (a cable company's main signal processing center) to suppress the rest of each line of video by the same amount as the suppression applied to the sync. In order for a PC tuner card to imitate this process it would require either

Standby = no signal?
What I was wanting to do was to take the VideoOut signal from my video, and use the 1960 as a "TV-Monitor", possibly with a switching box so I could use my computer on the same monitor without having to swap over plugs plugs. Dalco sells a "Multimedia Video Converter" that combines a TV tuner, video/RGB switcher,

TV Signal Distribution
They don't divide the signal into 1/3, they use 1/4 1/4 and 1/2, netting out about 7db down on 2 taps and 3.5db down on one. Some are labeled what the tap is. I'd hook the cable modem to the 3.5db tap to keep the signal as strong as you can there, then use the other two taps for your TV and tuner use.

Is it just that <the tuner sucks or is there something that I may be overlooking? I have <split the signal to my TV, VCR, and Stereo (FM). The stereo light is only used when the TV tuner is used. Because the VCR is not Hi-Fi, the recorded 15734 Hz signal is not recorded, since the best audio bandwidth of the

Can a cable TV signal break a TV tuner?
This, at least, seems logical to me because if the signal I'm taping is from the cable box then that signal or that input is "in use". As you noted you have the ability to watch non-scrambled analog stations via the TV tuner because you split the raw cable. For consumer's sake, you'd think that the cable

Sony SLV-640HF Problem
Using all these and less I get interference between channels. The satellite installer told me that it was easy to fit all these inputs and more on the current uhf tv tuner without any kind of interference. I have tried to move each one of these inputs to various numbers across the UHF tuner to no avail. Any ideas?

TV Tuner Card and Interference
With no RF cable connecting the VCR and TV? What you just posted should work. Using the RF cable as well would be desirable, so you can use the TV tuner, rather than the video tuner. The only other problem that I can think of is a dud cable somewhere. I don't think it's an impedance problem.

Pretty much, only the interference that can be picked up between the converter and the TV. I don't know much about S-Video, but I assume that it's basicly the same as demodulated baseband video which the patch eliminates the noise generated from the use of two tuners, one in the converter and one in the TV tuner.

Improving Cable signal on PC Tv tuner card
It would take a serious amount of RF signal alone to damage your tuner. I had a friend who worked in broadcasting that claims the front end of the FM radio in his car was knocked out while working at the transmitter site so I guess "impossible" might be too strong of a description. With cable, as the original
